Description
Part of Gale's "American Revolution Reference Library," "American Revolution: Biographies" profiles approximately 60 British and American men and women connected with the American Revolution. Many of these full-length biographical sketches contain short biographies of people who are in some way connected with the main biographee, sidebars of related information, and a "For More Information" section. A "Words to Know" section defines unusual and difficult terms and cross-references other people profiled within the subset.

Each volume contains a cumulative subject index. Revolutionary notables profiled include Abigail Adams, Joseph Brant, the Black Freedom Fighters, Nathan Hale, Simon Girty, Marquis de Lafayette, Deborah Sampson, Phillis Wheatley and many more.
